Multidisciplinary expertise in urinary tract disorders<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Veterinary uronephrology is the study and treatment of diseases of the urinary system (kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra), as well as systemic pathologies with renal repercussions. At the Agoravet<\/strong> clinic, this specialty benefits from a comprehensive, integrated approach, thanks to close collaboration between our internal medicine, surgery, imaging, intensive care and anesthesia teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medical conditions covered<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As part of our referral service, we welcome dogs, cats and NACs with a wide variety of urinary and\/or renal abnormalities, including :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renal disorders :<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Acute renal failure: ischemic, toxic, infectious or secondary to urinary tract obstruction (Feline Urologic Syndrome, renal, ureteral, bladder or urethral urolithiasis, tumors, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Chronic kidney disease (CKD): all etiologies combined<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Congenital dysplasias and malformations: renal hypoplasia, ectopic kidney, renal cysts<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Polycystic kidney disease (especially in predisposed breeds such as the Persian): ultrasound evaluation and screening<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Glomerulopathies and tubulopathies (proteinuria, acidosis, Fanconi syndrome, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
