These terms and conditions are available for consultation in the waiting room, or can be obtained on request in hard copy from the clinic or downloaded from www.agoravet.fr or on request from [email protected].


Any procedure performed on a patient in our establishment is subject to the general conditions of operation, which the patient's owner or keeper expressly accepts.

  1. Name of care facility:
    Our care facility is classified as a Veterinary Clinic, and has the Consultation, Imaging, Hospitalization/Intensive Care, Surgery, on-call service modules in accordance with the decree of March 13, 2015 published on March 25, 2015 relating to the naming of professional veterinary practice homes.
  2. Opening hours and public reception conditions:
    The AGORAVET veterinary medico-surgical referral center is open to the public from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Saturday from 8am to 3pm. Consultations are by appointment only, all day long. Customers and their pets are referred to the AGORAVET veterinary clinic on the recommendation of their veterinarian. Appointments are validated by one of the following methods:
  • Receipt of a request for care (liaison sheet) provided by the AGORAVET veterinary medico-surgical referral center to the referring veterinarians.
  • Receipt of a letter or e-mail from the referring veterinarian specifying the medical history and expectations regarding treatment
  • A telephone conversation with the referring veterinarian specifying the nature of the treatment required
  • A request for treatment can be made online via the website dedicated to referring veterinarians at www.agoravet.fr. Continuous care is provided to referring veterinarians by telephone on-call duty.

DERMATOLOGY:
Skin examinations (scrapings, calques, scotch tests, cytology) -
allergological skin tests - Endoscopic ear examination (video
otoscopy, diagnostic and interventional), early management of
atopy, laser photobiomodulation, dynamic laser phototherapy, surgical laser
, rapid or ultra-rush immunotherapy.

HOSPITALIZATION AND INTENSIVE CARE MANAGEMENT:
Hospitalization takes place in nine separate areas: dog kennel,
cattery, NAC hospitalization area with separate rooms for
small mammals, birds and reptiles, a kennel/
cattery reserved for contagious diseases, hospitalization room for
animals undergoing chemotherapy and two separate recovery/intensive care rooms
for cats and dogs. All hospital wards are duly
ventilated, air-conditioned and heated, with additional
warming equipment (heat mats, hot water bottles, incubators) available if required,
in particular for resuscitating hypothermic animals. If necessary,
fluids or medication can be administered via
infusion pumps and/or syringe pumps.
The cattery is equipped with specific cages that meet the
welfare criteria for this species in hospital.

The NAC hospitalization rooms are equipped with individually heated and lit
cages. Animals requiring intensive care are kept in a
room under the supervision of vets and assistants. If their condition
requires it, oxygenation and monitoring devices are used
(oxygen cage, heated incubator, nasal mask or glasses or nasal probe
, cardiac monitor, apnea detectors).

ONCOLOGY:
Consultation - Cytology of masses for diagnostic purposes - biopsies, carrying out
of extension assessments - Chemotherapy treatments (in accordance with
legislation in force on the handling of cancer drugs
in veterinary medicine), setting up implantation chambers, treatment
by electrochemotherapy.

PAIN CARE:

ANESTHESIA:
A veterinary auxiliary is systematically present and dedicated to
monitoring anesthesia.
A pre-anesthetic blood test may be carried out with the agreement of the
owner when the animal is admitted.
The clinic is equipped with 5 mobile gas anaesthesia stations, 4
operating with Isoflurane, 1 with Sevoflurane. 2 of these are equipped
with assisted breathing systems. 5 other fixed anaesthesia stations are
also present: 4 operating with Isoflurane, 1 with Sevoflurane.

NAC anaesthetics are systematically performed in the form of

gas. Where possible (due to the size of the animals), endo
tracheal intubation and respiratory assistance are provided.

Anesthetized animals are monitored: capnography,
pulse oximetry, electrocadiography, core temperature measurement,
blood pressure measurement, respiratory rate.
VETERINARY PHARMACY:
Bedside dispensing. - Prescription-only dispensing to
our customers. Articles L5143-2 and 6 of the French Public Health Code authorize
veterinarians to dispense medicines. They may only dispense
medicines that they themselves have prescribed, or that another veterinary surgeon practising
in the same healthcare establishment has prescribed. They are not allowed to run
an "open pharmacy", i.e. to dispense medicines prescribed by
any veterinary surgeon.

Alternatively, you can take the prescription from your vet to
a pharmacy to have
dispensed. .

NUTRITION:
The clinic has specific foods available for dogs, cats
and NACs: - Dietetic foods. - Physiological foods. -
rehydration and convalescence foods. These foods are used as part of
the care of hospitalized animals. Owners are authorized to bring
the usual foodstuffs for hospitalized animals in the absence of medical contraindication
.

  1. MONITORING HOSPITALIZED ANIMALS :

Hospitalized animals are monitored according to their clinical condition
. All material and human resources are available for
surveillance. We do not provide a permanent presence for
animals 24 hours a day. However, we are at the animal's bedside as often
as its condition requires. Visits to hospitalized animals are possible
with the agreement of the veterinarian in charge and depending on the animal's condition. These
visits take place only during clinic opening hours and
by appointment.

  1. PERMANENT CARE:
    The Clinique Vétérinaire guarantees permanent care, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for
    animals hospitalized on its premises by a qualified veterinarian.
  2. CONTINUITY OF CARE:
    The clinic guarantees continuity of care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year within the
    framework of its referred activity. Emergencies are dealt with 24/7, 365 days a year by
    setting up on-call arrangements with referring veterinarians.
  3. SPECIES TREATED:
    The species usually or occasionally treated at our
    facility are as follows: pets: dogs, cats,
    new pets.
    Wildlife: small mammals, reptiles and wild birds
    in collaboration with the LPO care center
    Zoo animals: the veterinary medical and surgical referral center
    AGORAVET - works in collaboration with local zoos for
    specific care of some of their animals, and may be called upon to treat:
    felines, primates in addition to the species listed above.
    The veterinary care establishment does not have the equipment or the resources to treat all species.

  1. THERAPEUTIC RISK, ANESTHESIA RISK,
    CONTENTION RISK, ECLAIR CONSENT OF THE CUSTOMER:
    Any drug treatment, anesthesia or surgical procedure
    involves a potential therapeutic risk, which our team will inform
    . This information will be given verbally as part of current practice
    or in writing in the form of a care contract at the request of the patient.

  1. CARE CONTRACT, PARTICULAR CONDITIONS:
    Any medical or surgical procedure subject to special conditions
    not specified or mentioned in the present document
    will give rise to a care contract. This will provide
    customers with the information they need to obtain informed consent.
    A "standard" care contract is available in Appendix I.
  2. DEATH OF ANIMAL:
    In the event of the patient's death, we can, if legislation permits and if the
    customer so wishes, return the body for burial. In other cases, we can

    an adult.
  4. ADMISSION OF STRAYED ANIMALS:
    If the owner of the animal or animals presented to the Veterinary Care Establishment by

    called daily to pass on news of their animal and to find out
    about its condition, planned examinations or treatments, and any changes to
    expenses during hospitalization.
  2. PAYMENT TERMS:
    All fees must be paid in cash at the end of the consultation
    or when the animal is returned to the customer. - A deposit may be required
    particularly in the event of hospitalization of the patient, or in the event of special care
    (surgical procedures, medical imaging examinations or specialized
    procedures). - Payment in instalments is available under certain conditions.
    This is offered through our financial partner, subject to
    acceptance. In this case, the owner must provide
    with an identity document bearing the same name.

    takes possession of the medicines, he/she becomes responsible for them.
