Hospitalization equipment

Hospitalizing an animal, even if it's a necessity, is a difficult time. The Agoravet clinic has put in place the necessary resources to ensure the comfort, safety, hygiene and well-being of hospitalized animals.

To meet these criteria, while ensuring the best possible care during hospitalization, we have developed several hospitalization sectors:

Intensive care :

The most critical animals, or those recovering from surgery, are placed in intensive care. They are constantly monitored and cared for, according to the severity of their condition.

There are two intensive care rooms in our facility, one for dogs and the other for cats, in order to respect the calm and limit the stress of cohabitation between these species.

These rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment: infusion pumps, syringe pumps, body temperature control systems, oxygenation tents, etc.

Particular attention is paid to the comfort of these particularly fragile animals: clean, cozy sleeping area, blankets, convalescent food, etc.

The kennel:

This space is designed for dogs of all sizes. Several cage models are available to suit all sizes, from small Chihuahuas to Irish Wolfounds.

A fenced-in, secure walking area adjoins the hospital ward. Dogs that are hospitalized and able to move around are taken out several times a day by our care teams.

A shower area is available for washing large animals that may have soiled themselves.

Depending on their needs, dogs are fed twice a day with a diet adapted to their condition. In the event of special dietary requirements (intolerances, allergies, household rations, etc.), you may be asked to provide the necessary food.

Cattery:

The cattery is located in the quietest part of the clinic to limit stress for these highly sensitive animals.

Cat-friendly cages provide maximum comfort for hospitalized cats. Each animal has its own space, which can be extended in the event of hospitalization lasting more than two days. Each cage is equipped with a clean, comfortable sleeping area (terry towel, blanket, etc.), a regularly cleaned and changed litter tray, and all the necessary food and water. The shyest cats are provided with hiding places.

Soothing background music is played in the cattery during the day.

Meals are prepared in our 'kitchen' every day according to the specific needs of each animal. That said, in the case of very specific diets (allergies, food intolerances, household rations, etc.), you may be asked to bring your cat's food to the hospital.

The lazaretto:

This area is intended for contagious animals , to avoid cross-breeding with other animals received in the clinic.

On entering this room, the care team passes over a foot bath and dons special clothing. Feces are treated in a special way to prevent contamination.

The NAC hospitalization area

NACs are cared for and hospitalized independently in a space that is totally dedicated to them.

This area has 4 hospitalization zones with :

Resuscitation and intensive care incubators for critical animals

Tailor-made hospitalization space for furry NACs : rabbits, rodents, etc.

A separate, custom-designed hospital space forbirds

An area dedicated to reptiles, equipped with terrariums and duly heated.
