A lynx taken care of at Agoravet

Lynx Agora

Some stories are truly memorable, and this is one of them.

A young female lynx has been presented to our Agoravet veterinary clinic in Strasbourg. This wild feline was entrusted to us by GORNA (Groupe d’Étude et de Réintroduction de la Faune Sauvage en Alsace-Lorraine) for a severe ophthalmological disorder.

She was first examined by Dr Azoulay in the ophthalmology department. Several of the clinic’s departments were quickly mobilized to further investigate the diagnosis and adapt the treatment:

  • A cardiac ultrasound was performed by Dr Guillaume
  • A cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) puncture and CT scan were performed in collaboration with Dr. Lebel.

This intervention highlighted the real cohesion of the team, with a chain of interconnected skills, mobilized in the service of a single objective: to save a protected wild animal.
