➡️ Here’s a case of retinal surgical reapplication with a 4-year follow-up: Whisky was presented to Doctor Azoulay in July 2020 for retinal detachment of the left eye with giant 360-degree tear.
Rapid surgical treatment restored vision to this eye.
Vision is still present 4 years later, much to the delight of its owners.
This case shows that restoring vision in retinal detachment can be facilitated by :
– early surgical management by a specialized center (ideally within a few days)
– simultaneous treatment of other ocular disorders (hypertonia, inflammation, etc.)
– retinal detachment prophylaxis in the adelphic eye if predisposed.
